Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) has asked Airtel Payments Bank to reverse LPG subsidy amounts that have been wrongfully credited to its accounts. HPCL said it received complaints regarding non-credit of subsidies into consumers’ existing bank accounts but instead were credited to Airtel Payments Bank accounts. Reportedly, about ₹167 crore has been wrongfully credited to Airtel Payments Bank accounts.
