The Ministry of Agriculture on Monday said that around 85 lakh milk producing cattle have been traced and tagged using polyurethane tags with 12-digit Unique Identification (UID) numbers. The data about productivity and health status of each animal is being uploaded on an information network, in order to provide better health services to the animals.
